GANEDEN
GANEDEN
After years of immersion in the ice cream industry and founding BUZA, a local ice cream chain with branches spanning Israel, Adam Ziv arrived at a significant revelation. The delectable frozen treats he was crafting, though beloved, were not necessarily the healthiest or most environmentally friendly options.
Driven by his conscientious convictions, Ziv made the bold decision to part ways with BUZA and embark on a new venture—introducing a paradigm shift in the world of ice cream. Enter GANEDEN, a groundbreaking, low-calorie, vegan-friendly ice cream crafted through innovative techniques that slash sugar content by approximately 40% compared to its counterparts. A pint of GANEDEN boasts 33%-50% fewer calories than the average pint. Moreover, GANEDEN is a clean label “better for you” ice cream, composed of only 5 to 8 carefully selected, all-natural high-standard ingredients. With a focus on vegan-friendliness, the brand aims to chart a course toward reduced dairy consumption, a key factor in combating the significant environmental impact of the dairy industry.

The genesis of our branding journey began with naming this newborn brand. GANEDEN was chosen for multiple reasons. Firstly, it encapsulates the divine delight of ice cream, acknowledging its power to uplift and transport individuals to a state of bliss. Secondly, the name encapsulates the brand’s overarching mission—to contribute to making the world a better place, a concept akin to “heaven is a place on earth.”
Building on this foundation, we sought to craft a brand identity that is rich, colorful, powerful, and exuberant—a portrayal of a utopian world where charismatic animals (illustrated by Hofit Shimoni) coexist with us, reminiscent of biblical times. To complement this vision, we adopted a humorous, bold, and lighthearted tone of voice and copy, embodying the full spirit of the brand.
